From Hydrogen Peroxide, Medical Miracle, by William Campbell Douglass MD

All species of animals do not react the same to peroxide because there are species differences in catalze content between man and animal. Dogs and chickens for instance have very low catalase levels so they have poor tolerance to hydrogen peroxide. In fact, you can kill them with hydrogen peroxide.
Also of great importance, Dr Farr found that increased oxygen content of tissues often was not recorded until 40-45 minutes after the beginning of the peroxide injection.
The doctors found that if they gave H202 into an artery, it was just as effective at raising tissue oxygen levels as the hyperbaric method, but given in the vein, there was no rise in oxygen levels of the tissues. It should be noted that current clinical trials refute the claim that H202 doesnt work when given in the vein.
Humans, cats, and horses respond well to H202 because their blood contains catalase, the enzyme necessary to convert H202 into water and oxygen. Goats , dogs or chickens will not respond to H202.
